April 14 th 2019: Palm Sunday is a commemoration of Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, coming in peace and riding on a donkey. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and is an important Christian festival around the world.
We began the Eucharistic Celebration in the ground by blessing thepalms and entered the church in a procession by holding palms in our hands in the same way as Jesus entered the Jerusalem.
16 th January 2019: on Wednesday of 16 th January 2019 is celebrated as Surathkal Sacred Heart’s Church Parish Feast. As usual the Mudhoom candle was distributed at 10.00 A. M. Sharp at 10.30 A.M. the Eucharistic celebration along with the parishners, friend’s relatives commenced in a very devotional procession
15 th January 2019: The eve of Vespers began with procession by honouring the Bible and garlanding it. After that the palanquin of Sacred Heart of Jesus was blessed and then we had the candle procession. Later the vespers were lead by the main celebrant along with the Varado Priests.
